  2. Hey NHLGamers, as the spring itself, our Spring League is closing in towards its end. The temperature is getting higher, as is the intensity on the virtual ice. Over 1.700 matches were played and over 800 players took part in this tournament. We saw tight games, we saw some upsets, we saw some big guns firing everything they've got. The top 8 in points have 100+ points with an average of nearly 4 points per game - who the heck is Gretzky right? But there is nothing like playoff hockey, even in a fun and more relaxed league like the Spring League - if you sign up, you want to go all the way and win the whole thing! Without further ado we would like to introduce you the playoffs for this seasons Spring League: 48 Teams are qualified for the playoffs - the top two teams of each group will have a bye round in the first week. In addition, the 4 next teams with the best points per game average (PPG) will also be joining this bye round. The other 32 teams are getting seeded due to the following factors: PPG average during the regular season Wins (per game - as there were some groups with less games than others) Head to Head record Goal Difference Goals scored Every series is a best of 5 series, so you need three wins to advance to the next round. The higher ranked team has the home ice advantage. This leads to the following seeding and playoff pairs: Teams with bye round: #1 Written In The Stars, #2 Symphony, #3 Butterfly Effect, #4 Northern Ascendancy, #5 Invictus, #6 The Next Gen, #7 Checkmate, #8 Reality Check HC, #9 MUKIMIEHET, #10 Unlucky Boys HC, #11 Supernatural, #12 Almost Famous, #13 Six Sticks Misfits, #14 Vesa Pompa HC, #15 Nordic Stars, #16 Cheers Hockey Playoffs round 1: #17 Deadly Phantoms HC vs ExBox #48 #18 LIONHEARTS vs Old Farts #47 #19 GHETTO FIREBIRDS vs Freddie Mercury Institute #46 #20 Gotham Knights vs Rukoilevat Hinkkaajat #45 #21 Raccoon Rampage vs United Crew #44 #22 Blackdawgs vs EV Duisburg #43 #23 Horror Hockey vs Beast Hockey #42 #24 TIKI TALK vs Speedy Bros Hockey #41 #25 Virtual Horizons eSports vs MahtiAnkat HT #40 #26 FarmiNaattori vs HC Unknown Diamond #39 #27 AIK Hockey vs Clowns On Ice #38 #28 Cannonieris vs EV Fuessen eSports #37 #29 Company of Geeks vs Murohoki #36 #30 Bellizzi vs The Black Jacks #35 #31 Silver Sword Griffins vs UnderRated Lekstuga #34 #32 Wolverines HC vs SOPPAJENGI #33 The first round off the playoffs will take place between Sunday 09.06.2019 and Thursday, 13.06.2019. We want to wish every team good luck and have fun! Captains of the teams which didn't qualify for the playoffs, please check your inbox during the weekend as League Administration will want your teams interest in a lower tier playoffs and if you are ready to participate - or if you'd rather call it a day. Nevertheless we want to thank all of you for participating!

  3. So many things but to list a few. World of Chel GENERAL - Practice mode that is playable in the dressing room also while searching for a match. - Working stats to 6v6 that only counts games that are played with 6 players. Individual and team stats. - Any player leaving the match will result in a loss not just goalie. - Ability to rejoin match for 3min if you drop - Spectator mode - Simplify the menus. There's no reason that each menu has background effects, transition effects. There should be a list of modes and once you press that it shows a dropdown menu or something where you can choose more specific game mode type. - Goalie as the 6th skater on delayed calls. - bring the CR rating for teams as well and matchmake by CR. - Ability to join multiple clubs and see all the dressing rooms on your main hub. CUSTOMIZATION - Ditch the hockeybags and just give us credits instead when you get levels. Just useless waste of time opening the bags. - Bring time limited and items that require you to meet certain conditions such as golden helmet if you are in the top 1% of EASHL monthly or averaging over 10 hits per game nets you a "juggernaut" to your jersey. - Goalie masks should be able to have the team logo. - Color palette wheel for goalie mask GOALIE GAMEPLAY - Get rid off the old type "post hugging" when you are holding the post in stand up and go to butterfly when holding the post. It's akward to get out off and usually it's a shit anyways. If you drop down to your knees just make the goalie go to the butterfly post hug which you get when you are in butterfly and hug the post. - New puck cover animations - Puck still goes trough the pads sometimes. Fix it please. Especially pucks going "under" the pads. which is like under and 50% clipping trough the pad. - The whole moving in butterfly is still a totally wonky compared to standing up. It should be made more responsive and quicker. at least more responsive. - Poke check with the right stick when holding the post should get a lot quicker animation. The initial animation is "OK" but the animation when the goalie pulls the stick back takes forever and it can't be interrupted with movement. Also the regular poke check when should get a small boost of somekind. - When being screened could we press R1 that is not assigned at the moment to make the goalie to try and see the puck? - This one is kinda skater/goalie. Make the shots more accurate so that slapshots can go in more easily if you are not positioned correctly (too deep in the net) but then again lower the small angle shot accuracy of the players. Now half of the goals are scored from really really small angles. - There's still at least one blocker animation that randomly happens which pretty much avoids the puck.

  9. My feedback considers 6v6 only: -Spectator mode. -No automatic animations where players get stuck into animation. -Reward goalies more for good positioning, punish them more for bad positioning. -Fix the goalie movement in the butterfly stance. After that goalies should be required to stand up while the puck is far away from the net and stay in the butterfly stance when the puck is nearby. -Consider forcing goalies to react to shots by going into butterfly, if it's possible with the latency of online gaming. Especially in early stages of the NHL 19 goalies shut the five hole way faster with automatic save animations than by hitting R2, which made using R2 completely pointless as you got beat more while trying to react to the shot rather than just letting the game handle the save by itself. -Keep the deflections somewhat as they are: force goalie to challenge the shot to make saves on high percentage, punish them hard for sitting inside the net when the shot is coming from far out. -Deflections should be possible only for players who are either standing still of very slowly gliding by. Right now it's ridiculous how skaters can move 100 mp/h and still make deflections. The slower the player moves the higher the chance of deflecting the puck should be. Maybe even making deflections manual would be a good choice. -Remove the auto covers and sweeps from the goalie once and for all, only the certain covers and sweeps should be automatic (just like the ones that are automatic nowadays). Autocovers were ridiculous for half a year when goalies intercepted passes with covers etc. Goalies are also playing the game, not flying on an autopilot. -Stick lift and stick checking should be more balanced and require the defensive player to actually be able to reach the stick or puck. Stick lifts should be effective but lifting the stick through the body of an opponent shouldn't be possible. -Pucks should move towards the direction players aims to, not the direction games decides it to go. Right now there are tons of shots that are, for example, aimed to top left corner but go through the five hole of the goalie. Also shooting the puck wide should happen more when the player isn't facing the net in a proper way, and happen less when the player is. Just to show something related to the movement of the goalies. Check out the video below and imagine if Jonathan Quick had to move the same way goalies on the NHL 19 do: moving around in the butterfly stance, having to move at least 1/3 of the width of the net at a time, as it's not possible to move less. Also the real goalies' movement from the stand-up to butterfly and back up is extremely fluent and fast. Few timestamps you might want to check out: 2.43, 3.45, 6.07 Edit: I also have to note the game shouldn't try to be too realistic or too close to real hockey, as it may not be the best possible thing for a competitive e-sports game. I'm just trying to note that the movement of the goalies could be way smoother and transitions more fluent than what they are now - but then the requirements for the goalies to make saves should also be higher (positioning wise etc).

  10. This. Tbh I really appreciate all the effort put in by nhlgamer to host competitive tournaments with prize pools etc. Then you start a game and first goal you let in is a own goal caused by a puck pickup animation. There is nothing esport-like with the game. I think EA should make D’s shots a threat again. This will prevent teams from just putting 5 guys in front of the net and actually benefit positioning and defence. This would make the biggest change in gameplay. i would also like to see fwds get more offensive options as well

  11. 6v6 - Practice mode - Spectator mode (!!!) - Goalie controls 6th skater with goalie pulled (actually makes it effective!) and on delayed penalties - More customization for the club - No more dressing room errors - Quicker, smarter menus - Quicker cuts between whistles to next faceoff - dont need the option to shoot the puck after the whistle and cause a fight

  12. world of chel: all the errors during the whole nhl of the year is too much. too much tuners which change the gameplay completely. Also the practice mode would be amazing to have back. when penalty coming and goalie going to bench, the goalie can come in as a 6th player Hut: same with the tuners. also I think the player amount is ridiculous, how easy it is to get a good team. maybe competive seasons should have player prices more often than packs. Vs: same servers like in hut and chel pls. saving lines and strategies so u dont have to change them everytime franchise mode: - gameplay: puckpickups, random bumbs (animations), server problems (still sometimes) menus: The menu is not as smooth as is was like in old gen😄 doesn't matter how simple the menu is imo if it works good other: spectator mode to 1v1 and eashl. there would be more but these are what comes first to my mind:)
